THE CURRICULUM
Emotional
In the very first developmental stage of your child’s life, we encourage your little one to communicate with us through those adorable little expressions. We foster attentiveness and reactions to varied stimuli, including colours, sounds and feels.
Cognitive
At this age, everything is new, exciting and sometimes overwhelming. We encourage our Giant Leap infants to explore and become well-acquainted with their new environment through sensory integration. They’ll touch toys, watch them light up and listen to new sounds and learn through the basic principles of cause and effect.
Physical
Your baby will do all the basics: roll, crawl, balance while sitting up, and get an overall workout each day! We use a variety of toys to help our Giant Leap infants learn to use their limbs and motor skills.
Social
Through play, music, storytelling, and imitation, we get your little ones fully engaged with their teachers and new friends.
Language & Literacy
We provide a rich foundation for language by imitating the infant’s vocalization, playing simple turn-taking games like peekaboo, and expanding vocabulary using simple sentence structure and repeating words.
Toddler CARE
Independent exploration and self-help skills.
In this stage, we’re watering the soil for a significant growth period. Your toddler is learning to walk and talk and express themselves.
THE CURRICULUM
Emotional
We nurture the development of your toddler’s movement and expression through activities that focus on building confidence, encouraging curiosity and instilling values for teamwork and sharing.
Cognitive
Identifying colours and shapes, sorting and labelling objects by characteristics, and matching items by functions is the first step in a child’s cognitive abilities. We focus on memory capacity by recalling events and instilling structured and productive routines. We also sing, and we do puzzles. It’s about balance!
Physical
This is an exciting stage in a Giant Leap kid’s life! They’re fine-tuning their motor skills and becoming more mobile. Your toddler will learn to kick a ball, use scissors, start to write, colour and lace up their own shoes to strengthen their coordination.
Social
We encourage our Giant Leap toddlers to become active participants through play, music and imitation. Your toddler will learn to repeat what their teacher has said back to them and follow instructions.
Language & Literacy
Giant Leap toddlers will start to join the conversation! We prompt children to engage with us through simple “what” and “where” questions. Through the use of storytelling and word games, we build up communication skills and a new vocabulary.
